A Small Team That Actually Turns Up

SL Roofing Services was built on a simple, unglamorous idea: do the job properly, charge what you said you would charge, and answer the phone afterwards. Samuel Lloyd has spent seven years on roofs across Essex, and the business today is still three people, the same three people who will be on your roof.

We help homeowners and landlords who have hit one of two moments. Either something has gone wrong, a leak in the bedroom ceiling, tiles on the lawn after a storm, gutters overflowing down a wall, or a roof has quietly reached the end of its life and needs replacing before it starts costing real money in damp, plaster and insulation.

What we specialise in is the full spread of domestic roofing: pitched tile and slate roofs, flat roofs, EPDM rubber, leadwork, guttering, UPVC fascias and soffits, chimney removals and moss clearance. That range matters more than it sounds. A roof rarely fails in one tidy category, a leak at a chimney is usually a leadwork problem, and a damp wall is often a gutter problem being blamed on the roof. Because we do all of it, we can tell you what is actually causing the water rather than selling you the one service we happen to offer.

Seven years of that work in one county builds a specific kind of knowledge. We know how the estuary wind at Southend and Rayleigh lifts poorly nailed ridge tiles. We know the post-war housing stock across Basildon is reaching the end of its original roof life all at once.
